Robert Hampton Gray VC Memorial Bursary

Naval Association Canada - Calgary Branch invites post-secondary students to apply for the Robert Hampton Gray, VC Memorial Bursary.

The NAC – Calgary Branch is pleased to remind the naval community, that it sponsors an annual Bursary in memory of Lt. Robert Hampton (Hammy) Gray, VC whom the Naval Museum of Alberta is dedicated.

The two thousand dollar ($2,000) Bursary is offered annually to a full-time student registered in any recognized post-secondary academic institution. It is available to the sons, daughters and grandchildren of individuals who served with the British Commonwealth Forces. It is also available to serving members or dependants of the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Naval Reserve, Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, or Navy League of Canada Cadet Corps.

Applicants must have resided in Alberta for three consecutive years prior to application. The award is made based on the financial need to a student based on the honest completed submission of the attached Bursary application form.

Applications must be completed and submitted to scholarship@naccalgary.ca by no later than March 29, 2024. All applications will be reviewed by a specified review panel from the NAC – Calgary Branch, and the winning two applicants will be contacted by the NAC-Calgary Branch.
